Rental Restriction and Georgia Property Owners Association Membership Amendment
As discussed at our Annual Meeting, we are in the the process of restricting leasing through amendment to our covenants in the community. In addition, we will also establish membership in the Georgia Property Owners Association. We currently have over 35% of the homes in the community that are rental properties. Why is this important to our community? Once we reach between 45-50%, banks will stop writing mortgages in our community, including any refinances. The amendment requires a 2/3 vote of the entire community to pass.
On Thursday, December 10, 2015, 7:00 pm we will hold a Special meeting at the clubhouse to discuss these important amendments. The association attorneys will be present to provide greater detail as well as we will answer your questions. You will soon receive the amendment as well as a consent/rejection form.
